As far as 8 years, thats one good battery! I am aware that I need to get a new battery. Its cheaper than a system board and you will probably need a new battery sooner or later anyway. Today I took it to Staples and they told me that it was the battery and it was going dead. You might try cleaning the connections to the battery and see if that helps. do you know?
