Thanks dude! The video is barely visible on the main lcd even after inverter replacement. Earlier on I thought this was the problem and re-soldered it, but that did not fix it. In this there is chance you have failed Processor, reseat or replace processor. Sorry for the lousy problem description but the little buggers just wont stay put ! when I power it, it displays a windows error recovery page that suggests start up repair and that it is recommended.when I go for the option, the screen goes black blank.

I will try to remove the SO-DIMMS and clean it, but can you tell me where to find them and how do they look? Now I got yellow lines in WinXP, sometimes the whole screen gets a shade of blue, and the boot mode is completely scrambled, although operational. If so, pull out the video card, and lift the power board up with it. Don't use crazy glue!!!
