Eset online scanner, kaspersky & malwarebytes removed the viruses but still no Dell splash window hence, no dell restore. Microsoft Office was preinstalled on this and I was wondering if that would be put back on my computer. The only disks I got with it was for the monitor etc. Thought I was going to have to go hunting on eBay for a replacement mobo. Dell website freezes everytime I try to access My Account to try and download a repair cd. Was wondering if the reinstall disk would fix my problem?
The problem is that it requires a fairly fancy power supply that includes a 2x4 pin connector. 99% of the machines we have are Dell Optiplex machines (755s, 760s, 980s, 9020s, After I had a program lock up (Media Monkey, specifically) I restarted the computer and got to the Dell screen where the option appears to press F2, etc. I have no CD available for repair/re-install. http://transcoderesearch.com/dell-xps/dell-xps-p133-boot-issues.html It seems to be pre-Windows boot, as F8 wasn't a whole lot of help.
